Themes arouse the mind in the area of color and fashion displayed in a wedding. Colors carry mood in the m and they can thus easily affect the mood for the positive or negative. Neutral and dull colors bring a somber mood, no wonder opposites of weddings-the burial ceremonies command that people dress in black. The opposite is true for weddings.  A white gown and pure jewellery carry the essence of purity and they reflect beauty. Coupled with the bridal dress colors, a theme is created. A theme will be applied in all areas of the wedding-the garden, reception and the cake, all the car beautifications and all.

Before 10 month we planned to our wedding .  In that time my husband was not in Srilanka. but every time  I discuss with him how to doing our wedding.

14^th August 2011 was the most precious day of our lives- It was our “Dream Wedding Day”!!

We would like to thank all of you for your fullest support to us on that dreamy wedding day.

Our special thanks are forward to our parents, relations & friends who gave their fullest corporation to be succeeded this event very beautiful.

We started planning about 8 months before our wedding. First we looked for a hotel. We went to several hotels check the rate, hotel surroundings. Finally we decided to select Galle face hotel.

Both of us are catholic so we need to find a church. My husband wanted to have the mass at St’ Lucia’s church – kotahena but I wanted to have the wedding mass at All Saints church. I have not been to St’ Lucia’s church before when my husband took me to the church I too really wanted to have the wedding mass at St’ Lucia’s church – Kotahena.

For my wedding, I wanted to look special, for the special person, in my life. I decided to enlist the services of renowned beautician Mrs. Subodini of Dewindi Salon at Tennekumbura.

The Flower decor was very eloquently done by D.M. Flora from Kurunegala.

Dreaming about your “Big day” is rather easier than actually planning for the final masterpiece. Word of advice to the brides and grooms to be - keep dreaming about your day, dress, colors, flowers, music, favors to everything but write them down, sort them out, compare ideas with other ideas as well as each other, this will be a great guide to your final destination OR hire a good wedding planner who understands your needs.

First we selected the most important days in our lives wedding 21^st July 2011 & Homecoming 23^rd July 2011. We want to do our wedding in 2 types such as Western & Indian according to the theme colours. Our wedding theme colours are Blue, Pink & Silver. Homecoming theme colours are Red & Gold.

We Selected the Hotels, Beautician, Dress Designer, Flower Decorations, Photography, and Videography before one year for the wedding.

First of all we thanks Mrs.Mala (Manager-Catering & Convention) of the Mt.Lavinia Hotel, Chef Mr. Pabilis Silva & Horizon Hall Manager who was in charge on 21^st of July 2011.They helped us different ways to Celebrate our wedding.

Thank you for your calm and professional nature with all the details.  The event was so much fun!  We were relaxed and enjoyed every moment.  Thank you so much.

Our wedding experience was a joy and amazing moment in our life. It was beyond our expectation.. such a beautiful event in our lovely life.

The support we received from parents/relations and friends was enormous, as a couple we cannot make  a such event so gratefully without their support and wishes. We should believe not only their functional support, also lot of wishes from their heart, it so amazing!! We both well organized and got the support from whatever people around us who always forward to helped us. We thanked them from our heart for all those wishes and supports..

The best day in our lives was the 2nd of September 2011. Obviously it was our wedding. We had planned it since about an year back date. And as planned we could make the event as successful as expected. The venue of the wedding was Hotel Clarion, Kiribathgoda. Harshani & her group's beautician was Mrs. Champi Siriwardane. Full flower decoration of the event has done by Dream Flowers, Mahara. Tharaka & group's Traditional Kandyan costumes hired by PVS Jayaratne, Kiribathgoda. Our traditional theme of the wedding has topped up by the classic snaps at Gangaramaya Temple.

We had a nice Indian themed Home Coming evening party at Laknara Guest, Kirillawala on 4th September 2011. As well as the Wedding the beautician & decos were respectively done by Champi & Dream Flowers. Shakkya Studio has enlightened the evening by photographing at Mount Lavinia.

A very big thanks to Thanuj, Chameera, Nandun & Dhanushka.

We wanted to do a surprize wedding ceramony in the most important day in our lives. So firstly we plan the wedding before one year. We selected the hotels, Beauticians, Photography, Videography before 8^th month to our wedding. Specialy we gave different cultural characteristics for our wedding. Photo locations, dresses were selected acording to the theme.
